- Regretful Inquisitor -
Born in the Brume, Morracia was one of the few lowborn Ishgardians fortunate enough to receive tutelage at the Scholasticate -- her very first copy of the Enchiridion was gifted at a soup kitchen for Brumerats. Though perceived as stoic, serious, and cold by her classmates, her instructors praised her diligence and determination. She was made an inquisitor during the Dragonsong War. Were you a classmate? A colleague? A suspected heretic? You may have heard of her, a common face at fabled and feared Witchdrop.
- Married Into Nobility -
Near the end of the Dragonsong War, Morracia parted ways with the Holy See. She returned to Ishgardian society, disgraced as a traitor to her land and ashamed of the strife she had caused during her tenure as an inquisitor. One of Inquisitor Vesisette's closest allies was a high-born dragoon commander, whose father had thrust him into war as the soldier son. Vaultain and Morracia married, and he gave her a place after the Tribunal loyalists had scorned her. She was a great support when his family was lost to the Dragonsong, and helped Vaultain adjust to the role of viscount -- a role he never thought he would have to play. All until his recent disappearance. Are you an Ishgardian noble that may run in the same circles as House Vauntelaire? If so, you may have heard of the disappearance that left the former inquisitor with no husband and a dwindling estate to manage alone.
- Force For Change -
Today, Morracia is the acting heart of House Vauntelaire. The inquisitor's poise has served her well in transitioning towards a high-society role, though House Vauntelaire is a ghost of what it was when Vaultain's father was at the helm.
She is known throughout Ishgard as the efficient and cutthroat inquisitor and the woman who caused House Vauntelaire to finally make a name for itself in Ishgardian society after its fall from grace, albeit with a staunchly radical pro-Reform stance. She can be found aiding an effort to enhance Brume literacy, as well as organizing expeditions into Coerthas, trying to bring back what was lost to frost... If only to busy herself from confronting the guilt that resides within.

rules

- lore-abiding, reasonable characters only; please no isekai'd world of warcraft mages-in-eorzea (true story)- slow-paced, low-fantasy roleplay is loved.- roleplay is an exercise in writing and storytelling for me and i prefer to find roleplay partners who feel the same way.- 21+ only, ic =/= ooc- wu/t welcome, but morracia isn't known for her warmth. reaching out to interweave plot hooks is preferred!- communication is key! let's have a discussion about your goals for your character/our character's relationship, and we can write something together that we both truly enjoy.this character's backstory can explore themes of debilitating guilt, grief, and diligence so extreme that one forgets themselves.

about the writer

hi, i'm cae! i use she/her pronouns and have been roleplaying for over fifteen years now - through Discord, SWTOR, forums, petsites, e-mails, you name it.
i'm in eastern standard time, and i work remotely in customer service so i tend to be reachable during the workday. outside of work, however, i'm a college student and, like many of us, have d&d/gym/life to work around, so if you'd like to do a scene, scheduling in advance is preferred!
outside of ffxiv and ffxiv roleplay, i love to write, read, bake, and am starting to get into crochet!
